Preperations | I'm Flying!!

Hi everyone!

Omg I can't believe it.. In a couple of houres my plane is taking off to Kenya. I am soooo excited, but nervous at the same time. This is the first time that I'm flying alone. I'm not excactly alone during the flight because the other girls of the organisation are travelling with me. But this is the first time that I'm flying whitout my family. That part scares me a little bit, but I think that everything is gonna be allright! I am really excited that I am going to Kenya, because with this program I am able to meet people of the slums in Nairobi. I am going to spend almost every afternoon in the slums. I'm visiting the school of the girls that live in Kibera. The biggest slum in Nairobi. Eventhough I'm in the slums almost everyday, I will not sleep there. I will spend the night in a Guest House with the people that I'm travelling with. It's gonna be so much fun with everyone!

Right now I'm still packing my suitcase and my bag that I'm bringing to Kenya. That's actually a lot harder than expected haha. I have to really think things through. Do I really nead it or can I live without it for this time. I have to ask myself this question with everything that I'm packing. I'm not packing very much though, only the stuff that I really need like clothes and medicines. But so far it's going pretty well :). I am still a little bit hyper because the journey of my life starts in a few houres from now. It sounds so surreal. But I am really happy that I went through with this. Because I am that kind of person that if you have to put work in something that I will not do it. But with this trip I did work hard to go and I am very happy that I did, because if I didn't then I wasn't starting a new life experience. And now I am. I am so nervous and excited and happy and I have all the feels at the same time. For now I am going to bed to get a little sleep before the long flight!
I am truly excited and my next post will be from Kenya :)))
